Can Anyone Stop The Heat?

Is there any team in the Eastern Conference in fantasy basketball for money that even has a remote shot of keeping the Miami Heat from going to their third consecutive NBA Finals and winning their second consecutive? The hot money right now has to be on the two other best teams in the Eastern Conference in fantasy basketball for money, at least record wise, but not only because they have the second and third best record in the Eastern Conference.

The Miami Heat are a combined 1-4 this season in five games in fantasy basketball for money against the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers, and until their win this weekend over the Pacers they had been winless in four tries against both teams. It may come as a bit of a shock to everyone that the Knicks and Pacers have been as successful in the Eastern Conference and against the Heat as the regular season begins to wind down, but we are certainly close enough to the end of the season to consider what either of these teams have accomplished as a fluke.

Were it not for the unbelievable season and the unbelievable stretches that LeBron James has had over the course of this season, than Carmelo Anthony would be a contender for the MVP award right now with the way that he has helped to right the ship that has often times seemed very lost in New York this season. As for the Pacers, they have gotten breakout seasons from power forward David West and small forward Paul George in fantasy basketball for money on their way to becoming an actual contender in the Eastern Conference this season. No one should put money on either of these teams taking four out of seven games against the Heat come playoff time, but if anyone has a shot, its these two.
